  • The Rock and the Kings Arms in Georgeham (5 mins drive away) both do very good food.

  • The Tea Rooms (St Mary’s Road) does lovely cream teas, fresh coffee, and home made cakes.

  • New Coast Kitchen: A modern restaurant, great for  dinner .

  • Sandleigh Tearooms A National Trust café near Baggy point. A good coffee and cake break (they also do great lunches i.e crab sandwiches and pasties, a nice treat as also quite expensive).

  • There are also various food vans in Croyde, in the busy summer season.

  • In Braunton there is Siam Bistro, SQ and the Duck Dive.

Activities:

Baggy point is a lovely place for a walk or run (it will take approx 35-40 mins depending how

fit you are).

There is a great walk from here to Saunton . Turn right out of WaveCott,

go through the gate and walk up the footpath. Turn right at the stile and continue

up a very steep footpath that runs over 3 fields, until you come to the top where you can see

Saunton. Walk down over the fields until you come to a gate opposite Saunton Sands Hotel (approx 40 mins).  You can also turn right to walk around the point back to Croyde if you prefer a different route back

(approx 1 hour walk).

Surfing: Croyde is a fast wave that is a faster at low tide. Saunton is a much slower wave ideal

for beginners. Putsborough is a good option when it is windy as it is more protected.  Woolacombe

is a very good all round surfing beach.  We have a surfboard that you can borrow if you want to give surfing

a go. If you require surfing lessons you can choose between many surf schools such as Surfing Croyde Bay,

Surf Southwest, etc. We recommend these two in particular

Cycling:  There are numerous routes (most of them fairly hilly)  that you can take, to enjoy the coastline and the countryside.
